Living with diabetes like other chronic disease requires self-management in terms of medication, diet and exercise in daily life. But this is often challenge for diabetics with low Socio-Economic Status(SES). Because they have various barriers to diabetes self-management due to the lack of personal and social resources. This study is intended to examine the effect of SES on influencingubjective health status in the adults with diabetes. Data came from the 2011 Korea Health Panel(KHP) and current analysis utilized data on 564 adult diabetics(age ¡Ã 20 years). One of major findings is that income is the significant variable effecting on the subjective health status of adult diabetics. Accordingly, this study shows that both the sensitivity and cultural considerations in exploring the variables of SES and the differentiated health promotion intervention should be requested to chronic disease patients with low SES.
